Welcome to Boddle

Well....... this is the current home page of my website called 'boddle'. Its not very flash and was put together simply with MS FrontPage 2002 - limited, but powerful, web design software. It does the job and I hope it's easy to navigate from here to other pages.

The old home page is still around for old times sake and to remember it's origin and it's much beloved benefactors.

Why 'boddle' you ask? Find out here.

These are links to other pages on this site and to my other website.....

(The other (bert) site was last updated with some pics of changes which have taken place around the house here - nothing dramatic but I run out of photos to show you, I must charge up the old new digital camera batteries!)

On another level, strangely, you will find here a page describing, with photos, some bridges that have been a part of my life.

Dear Santa, here is my Christmas wish list

Why 'boddle'? .....

Boddle was my favourite, of many, Sheffield Wednesday fanzines (football magazines written, produced and distributed by genuine fans for genuine fans). Brett and I used to love reading it back in the 90's and it enlivened many a dull and freezing cold half-time period on the Kop. It was totally, totally, mad, illogical and incredibly funny. But it was vibrant, original and written by lads with a genuine feeling for the club and its place in their lives. For me it, and the other fanzines, came to represent a golden era in the life of that grand old football club that I love so much. Sadly the fanzine and the golden era have long passed into history and legend, but I take pleasure in keeping the name, and my memories, alive.
